The Tears of Lady Justice

In America, the concept of “equal justice under the law” is foundational to our system. In the vast majority of cultures and countries from the beginning of time, different standards of right and wrong applied to different classes. And while America’s system is far from perfect, it is lightyears better than most any other culture or country in the world today.
That being said, news broke today that has brought tears to the eyes of Lady Justice. From Fox News,
“Two anti-abortion activists who made undercover videos of themselves trying to buy fetal tissue from Planned Parenthood were charged with 15 felonies, California prosecutors announced Tuesday.”
You may remember when these videos were first published. America was shocked to see the severed limbs and lifeless organs of innocent unborn children being casually examined as if they were nothing more than products at a farmer’s market. There was a spark of outrage. But alas, it was only a spark, and it quickly fizzled out and went away. The bill that was proposed at the time to remove Planned Parenthood’s funding didn’t even get enough votes to be brought up for debate.
And not only that, the tables have been completely turned. The two individuals who exposed this atrocity are now being charged with felonies while the abortion mill that is Planned Parenthood is still getting money from your tax dollars.
A casual examination of the facts prove that the California prosecutors do not have a leg to stand on. While the people currently murdering innocent children and selling those children’s severed body parts walk free and get paid from your tax dollars, the two courageous individuals who exposed these barbaric practices are facing prosecution. This travesty of justice should make every American’s blood boil.
But more than that, it should prompt you to action. Our legislators work for us. There position on this issue should be of major concern to any American who loves freedom. Because, as has been stated before, without life, no other right matters.
It is our responsibility to elect and support individuals who value life and are willing to fight for it. It is also our responsibility to pressure our elected officials to do the right thing. An email, phone call, or signing a petition can have a tremendous impact, especially if people take the time to share with their friends and family the need to get involved.
You and I are the guardians of liberty. It’s time to stand up and make your voice heard.
