Donald Trump Jr. & Russia - What Does This Mean To You

The ambitious son of a wealthy, powerful businessman turned politician, Russian spies, a secret meeting, dirt on a crumbling political dynasty, collusion, and political corruption. Sounds like a bad airport novel. But this is the reality we are living.

Or at least that’s what the mainstream media would like you to believe. But is it true? Time for a reality check.

24 Hours of Nothing

Something we’ve mentioned multiple times here is the danger created by a 24 hour news stream. Since there’s not enough news to fill that endless time slot, the media is forced to constantly speculate, vomiting opinions prior to all the facts being available.

We would see a beautiful, positive change if individuals began forming opinions based on actual facts, rather than the opinions of others. Opinions based on opinions are ruinous to rational debate.

You won’t hear anyone in the mainstream media admit it, but currently we don’t have all the facts regarding the Donald Trump Jr./Russia scandal. Time is the only cure for this problem.

All The Hypocrisy

The media has lost most of its credibility. And so has the left. But I repeat myself.

Is there anything quite as off-putting as hypocrisy? Americans are not blind, and neither are they stupid. We see the media and the left everyday salivating over every single possible potential of a Trump scandal, and we’re reminded of how polar opposite this behavior is compared to their handling of Clinton scandals. How can you trust someone who acts like this?

You can’t.

Imagine someone decrying the “blind loyalty” of Trump’s supporters and saying, "Trump could murder a baby and his supporters would argue that the baby's [sic] had it coming."

Now imagine that same person was an avid supporter/donor of Planned Parenthood (which actually kills babies), claimed to have had 2 abortions (which is actually killing babies), and was a member of the “Brag About Your Abortion Club”....

The hypocrisy here is so blatant, it nearly seems intentional.

Would you be able to maintain faith in the credibility of a person like this? What’s really sad is that you don’t have to imagine this scenario at all. Celebrity comedian Chelsea Handler made this exact tweet last week.

The left’s hypocrisy has been covered extensively here so I won’t regale you with it yet again. The point is, the type of blind hypocrisy Chelsea Handler demonstrated is the same kind of blind hypocrisy that Americans see everyday in the left and the mainstream media (and again, I repeat myself). And they’re sick of it.

The Result

This is why the Donald Jr./Russia scandal is receiving 24/7 coverage in the mainstream media, yet Trump’s popularity remains largely unaffected. The American people remain unswayed.

The left and the mainstream media (again, I apologize for the repetition) are the quintessential “boy who cried wolf.”

So now what? What does this mean to you?

1st It means that you, now more than ever, are responsible for doing your homework. Read the liberal news sources, read the conservative news sources, find original sources. Take responsibility for the information you consume.

2nd Evaluate your own life everyday for instances of hypocrisy. If you find any, fix it.

3rd Give a care. The incessant pounding from the left and the media (....) can make us want to just turn it off, tune out, and go on with our life. Engaged, informed citizens are the only citizens that will ever move this country back in the right direction.
