Something To Be Thankful For
If you’re like me, you felt as if the fate of America rested on a razor’s edge the night of November 8, 2016 . It felt as if true Americanism was fading. That the country we love was slipping from our grasp. And whether we would lose it or keep it, rested on the results of Election Night 2016. Obviously, one election never truly has the impact that we assign to it in our minds. Our 24 hour news cycle has a way of dramatizing everything. However, this doesn’t change the fact that it felt that way. It felt like the cop hating members of Black Lives Matter , the radical LGBT lobby, the “safe space” college crowd, and those who hate what America stands for were winning. Americans who just love freedom felt marginalized, tossed aside. Those feelings were real, and we knew we would find out if the feelings were reality on November 9th.
